I ate a lot of cheese last night. It was so good. And edamame beans, and seven layer dip. I could never have an eating disorder because I love food too much. I love everything except for organ food and shellfish. And lamb's head stew.
Well its been a busy and eventful year. Beaucoup de change, etc. Christmas is always a time of reflection for me, I prefer to be introspective. My message is this: Christmas, like any other holiday, is a celecbration. How you choose spend it/think about it is up to you. On Christmas eve, I watch 'Scrooge', (the 1951 version) and eat steak, lobster and crab. Wether or not you have a good time depends entirely on you. Merry Christmas, to one and all! God Belss us, every one.
Spring has sprung! It was along cold winter here and I for one am sooo glad I do not live back east anymore. Enough with the pleasantries! I'm staying in my current groove mood of - caring/not caring, working/resting, looking down/looking up, collecting/discarding, socializing/being alone, etc. I hope this inspired you, the reader, to be diligent in whatever you decide to do/not do today.
That's not my line, it belongs to Christopher Small- designer and advocate for proper colour and architecture everywhere. While standing in the rain today, we discussed the lack of " good " architectural design in our fair city. Both of us are native Vancouverites. We abhor the recent tauping of Vancouver. My personal un-favourite is the salmon peachy pink cement home. Since when is that a pretty colour in a city where it rains and rains and the peachy pink inevitably turns to.....something not- so- peachy- keen. We bemoan the faux gingerbread architecture that has found its way into Steveston - a rip off of New England architecture..... which by the way, is on the other coast, people! I guess it comes down to a matter of personal taste, or as Christopher said so diplomatically those colours/styles, " belong elsewhere."
